A Bit of Comedy

After catching and filleting the tuna, David saved a few pieces to use as bait. We had our pole out and were just sitting chatting when suddenly, the entire rod goes flying over the rail. Our reflexes had no time to react and all we could do was look back as our rod was pulled down by a very large fish, shark, whale??? Who knows. The whole thing happened so fast, like we were watching the exaggerated cartoon version of something that does not actually happen in real life. And just like that no more fishing for us but we couldn’t stop laughing anyway b/c it the whole thing was just too surreal. Maybe we’ll get inspired and rig a handline…doubtful, but we’ve got at least five more days of entertaining ourselves so anything is possible.
