We spent another night last night getting beat up by squalls. The worst of it now seems to be over, that is as long as we say below 27 degrees north…which is proving to be a bit of a challenge given that the winds have kicked up and even with smallest bit of sail out, we are still managing almost six knots. Then there is the rolling…it’s constant and not allowing for much restful sleep. Fortunately, we have managed to meet up with a few other ARC boats and have been traveling together. It is nice to be in the company of others. We are keeping ourselves entertained by reading aloud in our book club for two, listening to satellite radio (thank god for satellite radio!), a little bit of dancing incorporating some exercise, and napping whenever possible.
