As a going away present, Joel and Leslie gave us a gift certificate that was redeemable at one of four restaurant options on St. John. We selected Asolare which sits in the trees upon a hilltop, overlooking Cruz bay, with further views of St. Thomas. We got dressed up (a rare event for us these days) and hopped in the dinghy with great anticipation. The meal did not disappoint. I think the word that David used to describe it was “magnificent”. We dined for hours and felt spoiled by this wonderful indulgence.
